N. R. Narayana Murthy

A group of six software professionals in 1981 quit their jobs and start Infosys, a start up that sought to leverage India’s low cost talent base. While the going was not easy , N. R. Narayana Murthy steadfastly stuck with his guns, even offering to buy out his partners when things got a bit rough, and eventually leading Infosys to a NASDAQ listing in 1999.He has evolved from being just Infosys CEO to its Mentor.
While he has been unafraid to take powers that be educational institutions and corporate bodies like IIT Bangalore, Wharton School, SEBI, Prime Minister’s Council on Trade and Industry and dozens of others , have ensured that Murthy continues to remain in spotlight.
